Background Checks:

Due to the sensitive nature of scenes and information LCFD1 sees, hears, experiences, and the trust bestowed upon us by the citizens in our service area, we require a background check to be completed prior to scheduling a ride-along on any of our apparatus. The background check also applies to our application process; meaning it only needs to be completed once. Applicants must make an appointment with Wyoming's Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) at (307)-777-7181 and provide receipt of a free and clear background investigation. Once the check is complete, applicants can be scheduled for a ride-along and move forward in the application process, should they choose to do so.
